    Have I over-written something important?

    Hi

The situation is that I completed the 3.1-4.1 Softmod for any Wii tutorial for a new Black Wii 4.1E successfully, missing out step 4. as its a 4.1 already - but taking the step 5. option to load Priiloader.

    Everything fine at this stage.

I now wanted to take a couple of Optional steps, i.e. Install USB Loader GX & WBFS Manager 3.

However, whilst following the instructions I accidentally ran cIOS38r17 installer which, of course, I had already done back in step 3. of the tutorial.

It ran using its default of IOS249 and installed IOS38-64-v3867.

    So, my question is:

Have I just duplicated the first install of IOS38-64-v3867 in step 5. part d) and everything is OK for me to continue trying again to install the USB loader?

    OR

Have I overwritten something out of sequence and I need to go back and re-do the tutorial in the correct order?

[ If so, I currently have Priiloader installed, so do I un-install it [there is a warning at this point about doing the IOS60 prior to installing Priiloader!] before going to step 5. part a) and install IOS60-patched.wad and continue from there?

Many thanks for your help in advance!

This question was answered in your earlier IDENTICAL post, it is against forum rules to double up on posts as it wastes everyones time!

    Hi Again

I seemed to get two contradicting answers: one to proceed without re-installing and the other one to re-install.

Neither quite answer the question I asked and as posters are advised not to follow advice in the Newbie section without caution, i was hoping for a more definative answer here.

    Cheers.

    UPDATE

I continued without re-installing/re-applying: 1) installed USB GX Loader, 2) prepared USB HDD with EASEUS Partition Master & WBFS Manager 3.0, 3) Loaded games onto HDD and connected it to the Wii.

    Everything is working fine

Let's hope it continues to do so, and this helps any others in a similar situation in the future.

    Cheers
