Us Wii Remote Buttons--Does Anyone Know How to Fix?

Hey, guys. I just bought I Wii Remote from eBay (which I knew was a bad idea, but it was only six bucks, so I couldn't not buy it). It pretty much works fine. The vibrate feature is goofy on it, but I usually have the vibration turned off anyway.
My main concern is the buttons. The "A" button sticks a lot. I can kind of live with that, but the D-Pad is awful. You have to push REALLY hard to get it to respond.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to remedy this problem. I just ordered a triwing screwdriver from eBay, so I figured if nothing else, I would just open it up and screw around with it a little. But if anyone has some solutions, I would be more than grateful.

    Thanks a lot.

I know that you probably don't want to do this, but you'll have to open the controller up and clean the contact points. I know that you may not have a tri-wing screw driver, but there are other ways of getting around that.

Here is a link about an open Wii Remote: Link
But as for the Tri-Wing screws, I honestly would order a special screw driver for that...

It's a basic truth of the human condition that everybody lies.

Thanks a million, man. I don't have a triwing screwdriver yet, but I ordered one on eBay, so it should be here in a couple of days.

    Thanks again.
