    Couple ?'s

I've got my sd card and my WD External HD. Now I just had a couple questions before I start my soft mod. I will follow the full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus and Loading, Ripping, and Playing Wii Game Backups from an External USB Hard Disk Drive guides. My plan is to use USB Loader GX. Now before I start do I need to delete the internet channel or any other channels I have? Will I be able to use the internet channel safely after the softmod? And also, when I start my wii after the softmod will it start up as previous before the softmod with the channel screen up?

    No need to delete anything.

It should start as before, if you follow the guides properly.

Thanks Tealc, also I have my SD card hooked to my computer right now and it says File System: FAT

Is that different than FAT32 or will that work, If not how can I format it to FAT32? I'm running windows xp pro and there is no format option, and I couldn't find anything in the search option related to it.

Have a look in My Computer, where your SD card appears, if you right click you'll get a format option with that. You can choose the file system at that time. You can also obtain SD formatting software for even greater control.

    Nevertheless FAT should be fine.

B2)Format the SD card, with FAT32, place the contents of the included folder in the SD card root. Only files in SD root should be:
    root:\Wad\
    root:\bootmii\
    root:\startup.elf
    root:\boot.dol
    root:\00000001\ <-(if available)

B3)Place the SD card in the wii, start HBC and press home ar the main HBC screen. (If your wii boots to Bootmii, just go to B5)

    B4)Select bootmii and wait.

B5)Wadmanager should start.(On ios select, select ios36, or try a few, 249, 250 dunno,we are scratching our heads with this)!!

I have gotten to B4 and selected bootmii and am waiting, about 5 mins now and wadmanager has not started. I just got a black screen and the blue light around the drive is flashing, how long do you usually have to wait or am I in trouble?
