if you want to play it from usb, what USB loader do you normally use?

USB Loader GX can rip it directly from your Wii drive to your HDD for you.

Yes it can be downloaded, you can softmod your Wii and then the game will work.

There are many tutorials here to get you started.

But to answer your question, my family have been playing this game without a disc for some time now.

You can run games from disk (burn them) or you can play games via a USB loader, the choice is really yours.

What would you prefer to do? If you have a new Wii, you may be forced to use USB as the newest ones have a drive incapable of reading burnt disks.

But with you being on 4.0 and now 4.1 this is most likely not the case.

So this tutorial is for you: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

    Enjoy.

A 1TB Western Digital HDD would be a very good investment. They are as cheap as $115 here in Australia.

The time it would take me to burn my 175+ games and the hassle of changing disks all the time would to me be more hassle than the $115.

That tutorial I linked to has all the info at the bottom on a few (optional) USB loaders. There is a lot of info here regarding them.

    here's one helpful tutorial: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-usb-hdd.html

That's understandable. There are precausions to bricking, so you should be fine.

I have bricked mine once because I missed a step, but I had a backup of my NAND (Wii system) and jusr restored it and started again.

So with being able to restore i'm less concerned now. If you follow the steps carefully you'll be fine.

    Enjoy your modding
