1.) since i have a d2pro9 do i have to worry about region patches?
I would just like to know which is the best and safest to use.

It has region patch and the option to backup. Is this any better then brick blocker at how it protect the wii from bricking??

It seems to have the same features as brick blocker and WIU, but with a update manager that allows you to insert a update partition of you own region so that you will be able to update if there is a update and keep the wii in working order
Yeah, the problem is not on the region.. u do have to make sure u use the brickblocker.. so u dont update ur Wii using a PAL or JAPANESE game.. cause you could & will brick ur Wii..
