Is it safe to delete photo, shop and weather etc. channels?

    Hi all,

I want to free up some space for WAD's, and wondering if it's safe to delete shopping, photo, weather etc. channels?

If I do delete them, can I ever get them back again?

    Thanks.

If think it is safe if you delete them with anytitledeleter, but I'm not sure if you can get them back.

Thanks...do you know if they take up much RAM?

If they are only small it won't be worth deleting them really...but if they are big then I will do it.

    Anyone done this?

Us I wouldn't mess with them!!

If you erase the weather or news it will re appear again if the internet is hooked up! These are system channels! If you erase them and then update the channels as I did with wiiscu, you will brick your wii!! It's best to just not mess with them! Anyway why would you want to delete them, there great channels!! I use the weather alot, and the news is more current, than the news on tv!!!

Why would you use a program designed to bulk-update ios' and files for channels that you erased? That program's like a mini-cIOSCorp. You needed to reinstall them properly as wad files, which could have saved some headaches.

@ tedrogers Deleting these channels with ATD is fine and will not brick your console: Never uninstall any ios under 200, as THAT will brick you. If you ever change your mind and want them back, download them on your pc with NUSD and install via wad manager.

    Great replies everyone. Many thanks.

I'm just going to leave them and never use them...the weather and news is far better on my laptop! LOL.

If they're bugging you, just grab them by holding A+B and dragging them all the way to the right of you channels screen about 3 pages. You'll never see them and there's no risk.
