i did my wii with softmod for dummies v4.1, my wii is 3.3e i think. on a few games i get error2, tried a 002fix gamma loader but still the same. the fix channel comes with cios fix and ios16-64-v257-prod. my wii has i think iso 38 cios r14, do i over write these with the gamma loader ones. also read about backing up nands, tried to install bootmii but only let me install as iso, with what ive read this can be risky. any other way. ive also downloaded safe update 4.1 and 4.2 is it worth updating or should i leave it the way it is. following other tuts ive downloaded 'cfg.1.9xpal' as told if semi brick wii it can help, also got 'wiikey 1.9.s pal update' do i need this and should install. do i need preloader, truchc bug restorer and how do i get into nintendos built in recovery menu followed tuts but nothing. is there anything else i should be reading or looking at or installing on the wii that would be helpful. theres that much stuff i dont know what i need or doing. thanks to all that help.

tried to install neogamma r7, it said that cios has revision 7 and needs rev 14. tried to install iso38-64-v3610 wad, gets to content #17 then error (ret=-1) is this the right iso and how do i get it in. my wii was on 3.3u now on 3.3e, would i be better to follow dogeggs guide to remove softmods and get to 4.1. then follow his/her guide 'new 3.1 - 4.1 softmod for any wii. or is there no point in doing this.thanks
you should just start from the beginning of his guide. Its best to get bootmii and a NAND backup in case you accidentaly brick your wii. It doesnt take long to do it. Probably 20-45 mins to complete the entire softmod.

do you mean remove everything and start from scratch, or just do the softmod on top of the old one. thanks
well what i did with mines when I messed up was start from the beginning and just softmod it again ontop of the old one. You dont have to worry about deleting ios's or anything like that.

im probabley asking stupid questions, but i dont want to brick my wii. i want to find out everything before i start. thanks
i would update to system menu 4.1 cause its has a little bit more features.
