GameDr Lens Cleaner

Hi all,

Just a quickie.
Has anyone used GameDr Lens Cleaner? I picked it up today @ Gamestation and cant run it. I have MPlayer CE but to no avail.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks

I beleive it is not a good idea to watch movies on the Wii using DVDs.
(excess wear on the reader) I load them onto my USB HDD, and use Mplayer CE. I also have DVDx installed.

Is the product made for the Wii? The Wii doesn't originally support Audio CD or DVD playback so how could this work in the Wii? If the product is made to run in a CD or DVD player or another console that supports audio and dvd playback, it may not work in the Wii.

Its a bad idea to use lens cleaner cds on a wii. And playing movies, worse idea. It might go the way of the ps2. Instead of it not reading blue discs, it may not read dual layer or something. WHO KNOWS?!?!?!!?! Don't risk it.

If the disc did work in the Wii, it probably would not hurt the Wii, as these kinds of lens cleaners only take a matter of seconds to do the job. But I do not think this type of lens cleaner is very effective. If the lens is dirty, take the Wii apart and clean the lens properly.

I only play movies from USB stick.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Decided to chuck the disc in the ocean for the use it was.

It did say it's made for "Wii systems with DVD playback compatabillity"

Just need to order my triscrewdriver and i will strip it down for a clean out.
