    is this safe?

    i have an older wii (ul37) n i have 4.2 fw. i have everything installed using "full hacking guide for 4.2 menu system". im wondering if i need to install preloader or if it is safe to burn games to dvd-r n just load them. if i do need preloader, where do i put the files after extraction. i cant seem to get it to show up in the hbc list of apps. thanks to all for everything.

    burn ISOs and load it as is. Not harmful at all.
    Preloader is optional. it's not applied as \apps in SD card. Refer to the associated Tuts in FAQ section. use Search block above ur thread.

    you should install preloader, it is your only very small hope of fixing your wii should it brick. Install bootmi and ios and backup, install preloader.
    That is what I would do- and did

    @bow hunt,
    while at 4.2x, there's no such disc of game which would honor u an update !

    (optionally) install bootmii as boot2 and backup ur NAND file for a safety net, and sleep well.
