Hey all, im trying to get my hands on a video av cable for my sisters Wii and I came across [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
sorry I dont know how to wrap that up in a link. The Wii doesnt have the best video but maybe it could get better? idk, im just using the cables it came with which I know are low quality cables.
So my main reason for posting is to ask if these cables would improve the video quality any?? I know my XBOX 360 put on the lowest setting looks terrible and maxing it out is like WOW, so if its possible to get better picture out of the Wii that would be great. Or maybe its just some bs marketing and it doesnt do anything except take up the good ports on your TV, lol.
Yeah buddy I dont wanna burst your bubble but the wii is only capable is 480p. Those cables will not make the wii display 720p or 1080p. You should just go to a local walmart or something and buy a Nyko HD component cable. Its around 14 bucks. Its best not to get a non name brand kind
It can never hurt to upgrade the A/V cables, you will notice a difference, but in this case, you get what you pay for. If I was ploping down some cash for something, I make sure I spend enough to get a good quality product.

k, was just checking if it was capable of more, like I think some XBOX packages didnt come with the HDMI cables which gives the best quality right? Figured maybe the Wii did something like that to cut cost. Why include all options and raise the price when not everyone wants that, better to make it stock and let people accessorize to their liking.
Guess ill go with their Wii Hookup Kit, lol, [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
Comes with everything I need, its all refurbished but I think it will work all the same and just as long as any new ones would.
Well before you buy that i hope you read it carefully. Its comes with the stuff in the wii box...... There are no HD component cables in that hookup kit.
yea of course, im not buying it for better picture, my sister got a Wii from someone that wont play any Wii games but it plays GameCube games. Dont know why but they only gave her the Wii itself, no cables or anything, dont know how they got a new Wii but no new cables, lol. Anyway im going to hook hers up like I have mine which is to run the games off an external HD.
Buying all the parts separately from different places doesnt seem to save much so ill just go with the bundle they have there on the Nintendo website.
Hey what do you guys think about this?? [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
Let you use 480p over the 480i that the regular cables gives which is better but I wouldnt know how much better or if its noticeable or not.
Component would have to give vastly better results than composite cables, the picture is average to say the least on my 46" HD LCD- even my old xbox does 720P after modding.
thanks, think i might just order her a new power supply, a refurbished sensor bar and ill buy me that component cable there and just give her my composit, muahhahahaah
surprised no one mentioned anything going component over compisit, ahem, lol. I noticed a huge difference when I upgraded my TVs satellite box from composite to S video, very unwatchable. Was so surprised when I first got my LCD HDTV to see that, horrible grainy picture. Would have rather stayed with my tube which had nice colorful picture compared to that mess.

If The power brick is the same as the 360'S, then you need to make sure you get the right one, however i don't know about the wii power supply so i'm not exactly sure if that is anything to worry about.
