good day,


if i brick a wii using the new 4.0 bomber software for whatever reason then call nintendo and tell them my wii no longer works because of of their updates lol. like tell them "i was updating my wii and before it ended the wii turned off and it no longer works."

wont they be able to tell it was bricked from 3rd party applications and not give me a free repair?

That's kinda silly if not plain silly to just brick a Wii intentionally that is fully operational . Nintendo rountinely does test checks for anything that isn't official or legit on systems they receive in for repairs. So if one were to send in a system with details of it being bricked from an Official update of theirs they definately are going to check into it for sure to be sure. All the evidence up to the systems last few minutes is on the Nand.

Nintendo' most inspired core game titles are stuck overseas. Nintendo Of America sux when it comes to the localization of these game titles as they court with their new found casual gamer/soccer mom audience this console generation. Thus indirectly promoting the growth of Homebrewing & basically telling their core audience if they want it, mod chip or Homebrew it. Thanks Nintendo!
