I don't feel so bad now. Before I started the post I thought I was the oldest gamer here. Now I have proof positive for all the nay-sayers who think I am too old to still be gaming.
...especially with the Wii
I, actually, wouldn't be too surprised to see older people play the Wii.

You're never too old. Back in the day, my grandma used to have a Gameboy that she played Tetris on all the time.

That reminds me of when I was a kid and had a sega genesis. My grandfather came over and saw altered beast. He would just say..."well johnny....now I have seen pretty much everything"
25...I played my dad's atari...loved that damn thing and he gave it to my grandparents (without asking- I would have begged him not to) and they sold it along with all of the games (pitfall, frogger, keystone kapers...sob) at a garage sale.

Retrogamer: I think I missed where you gave your age. It's probably irrelevant, though - it's not the age but the attitude that counts.
I'm 29. I Play games with my kid, he's 12. I started him the right way, first game he ever played was Super Mario Bros. on the NES.
I've owned pong, Atari, Coleco Vision, Amiga 500, NES Gameboy, SuperNes, Genesis, Sega GameGear, PSOne, Gamecube, XBOX, I just got a GBM...and hopefully soon a Wii. Oh, and got a DS for my kid waiting under the tree.
31 here. I played mostly pc titles growing up... old C64 homebrews, the Psygnosis Amiga games, Sierra's Whatever-Quest games... then in college I got a PS1 and kept the computer for working on papers. And Myst. And Marathon.
OK so I didn't get much work done.
I'll play a game on whatever is at hand, be it console, PC, table-top, board, card, cellphone, pencil-and-dice RPG... whatever.
I do remember my mom wouldnt buy me a Gameboy because I borrowed one from a friend once and she couldn't stop playing Tetris for like 12 hours.
