Ive just finished downloading the oneup dlc installer along with a load of songs for guitar hero world tour but i have no idea what im doing everything i read doesnt explain what you have todo for a noob like me to understand.
So heres what i got i downloaded a torrent which gave me the oneup installer in a .rar i guess i need to extract this an put it in the apps folder on my sd card.
Then in every folder for each song there is 4 .rars all the same name and all 4,8883kb but when i open winrar to extract the packed size is diffrent. do i extract them all or just 1 of them. if i try to extract them all i get the message box file already exists so my guess is the uploader of the torrent put the same song in the folder 4x.
If someone could help me with this my understanding of the rest of the process is fairly straight forward you just run homebrew run wad manager install oneup installer goto wii channel then install song.wad and then the title.wad run guitar hero world tour goto archive move to sd and repeat the process.
Could really do with the help as i am a noob to all of this.
Also if you are having the same problem could you not post that you are ive sat and read page after page of people saying they are having the same problem but never see an answer.
With the .rar files - you need winrar and need to click on one and extrat here or where you want it - you should get two files song.wad and title.wad - put these files in a folder called \\wad on the root of the SD card
I had problems trying to get it installed
You need to use the one-up installed - install the song.wad using song option and title.wad using the title option
After doing this the songs wouldn't show up in GH
I read a bunch of threads and help from others I was able to get it going.
Hi thanks for the quck reply i read that post earlier and i understand how to do the install process of the songs but this is were i get stuck i put these pics up so it wud be easier to help so every1 could see what i can.

So this is were i get stuck are they all the same file do i jus extract 1 of the .rar files and then stick the extracted .wad in a folder called wad on the root of the sd card.

you did right! its a multiple rar file, extracting from one will extract the entire file from all of the archives, its just been split into small chunks. You can tell this from the little <-> in winrar.
Cool dont wana screw it all up lol thanks for the quick reply i can get to it now an have fun all night thanks again if i get stuck ill be sure to post up again.
** o just a quik 1 do i just extract all the rars and put all the .wad files into a folder or do i just extract and leave them were they are then put those folders in the wad folder on the sd root.

looks good - Again just the two .wad files in the wad directory then install with one-up - again song.wad with song option and title.wad with title option
You need to do one song at a time I believe
And from that post above - people who were having problems with them not showing up - you need to update the wii shop channel with the mentioned files
Good tip for extracting - Select one of the .rar files and right click and use the 'Extract here' option

Ok so either im a complete retard (im not im just new) but when everyone says todo these 1 at a time do they meen put 1 song.wad and title.wad in the wad folder on the sd at a time then do the 1up, archive, move to sd process.
Only ask because from my understanding i just had to copy all of the wads into the wad folder then do the install process using the 1up installer 1 song at a time. went to copy all the wads into the wad folder and got file GHWT_Title_Files_PAL_Rev2.wad already exists.
Im hopeing this is my last lesson to learn lol bit of a long process but hell i just got 102 free songs i can suffer a few hours to get them done.
