4.1E Wont Play Wii Sports Resort?

Hi,

About a month back I soft modded my neighbours wii,
Using the banner bomb technique, and installed just about every safe guard and update to 4.0, usb hdd, loader etc..

Everything working like it should,

However today, he came round with Wii Sports Resort saying it would not work on his wii,

I tried it on mine, I was running 4.0 + modchip = no go, so I updated to 4.1 using wonk's 4.1 updater

Bingo it worked.

So I tried to update his wii to 4.1, but we could not get his wii connected to the internet so in short I left to get fish & chips and when I got back he had manage to get it connected... BUT

He updated to 4.1E and he cant remember if it was via the CD or System Update.. Either way..

Everything else seems to still work HBC, WAD Manager, Games loaded on the USB HDD,

BUT.. The Wii Sports Resort will not?
The Wii will not read the disc, But it will read & copy it in USB Loader GX, But it wont play?

I have tried error 002 fix on/off/anti still no luck, it tries to load then reverts back to the main menu?

Any suggestions?

Reading slightly more, I believe he had CIOS Rev9 or 10 Installed and that the Anti Error #002 needs to use CIOS Rev13 ?

Also I had installed Pre-Loader, which I assume would have blocked some of the 4.1E Update?

After even more reading

I found this to be the solution:

1. using wiiscrubber to extract the player.dol file from partition1/sys/mpls_movie/

2. rename the player.dol to RZTJ01.dol or RZTJ.dol (depending on ISO Version) & place this file in the root directory of your SD card.

3. Run USB loader GX and chose the wii resort game file, Hit the settings button on the left, Then modified the following:

Game Language: English
Error 002 fix: ON
Alternate DOL: ON
Block IOS Reload: ON

MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THESE SETTINGS

4. Start the game by clicking the disc icon

5. Game run's, video started. Do whatever you want until vid ends. Hit A, The wii should restart itself

6. Now go back to USB loader GX and choose the wii resort disc again

7. Go to settings and turn OFF the alternate dol setting

8. Run the game and it should work

I am on 4.0E with rev 10 and wii sports resort works for me, if your not using R6 try R6 also there is an option to use the player.dol on the disc no need to extract, havnt tried it yet but that info is from the neogamma thread and I can quote him if you like.

I updated to 4.0e from 3.2e using the wannikoko method, maybe your neighbour needs to downgrade back to 4.0 to get this to work.

wii sports resort works with rev 7 10 also 13 but 13 has issues

wii sports resort works on my wii

wii system menu 4.1U, cIOSrev14 using neogamma R7

settings, video path to all, recovery mode ON, alt.dol set to Disk (when ask for main.dol or player.dol load any of them.

have fun...oh and of course you need the wii motion plus to be able to play.

I am on rev 14 now skipped 13 read lots of people had issues with it so gave it a miss

Firmware 4.1
should Wii sports resort work on these settings?

when I was on 3.2e rev 7 worked with wii sports resort the only reason I upgraded when I went to 4.0e was on rev 10 and now 14 and wii sports resort still works on all those rev

I install cisocorp 3.2 and I can load wii sports resort from disk channel. Dont even need to load neogamma with all the settings like the dol file

still have problem with ghosbusters though grrrr..

and mario kart not able to load in disk channel, the only game ?
