Is my wii NTSC or PAL?

Hey, I bought my wii from the HK airport but its a UAE version and most of the stuff on the box and the guides are in arabic so i have no idea if its PAL/NTSC. But one of the free games i got along with it says that its "for use only in usa, canada.... ect" so is it NTSC?
I even got wii sports with it but that doesn't mention if its a PAL/NTSC game.
    Please help. Thanks.

Since you can't judge it directly from the location you made the purchase in go to the system settings and look at the upper right corner and it will tell you the system menu version and region. U(USA), E(Europe), and J(Japan). Europe uses PAL, USA/Japan is NTSC.

That's correct. You can change the language and country but the original system region doesn't change I don't think.

Yes, unless your system is modded. Make sure you do your homework and read around before getting into that.

Wii_Sports is bundled with Wii consoles of usa version (ie. NTSC-U)

u're smart to buy Wii at HK airport. otherwise, u might hv purchased a softmodded Korean to USA Wii, which could cause u many more questions.

    enjoy!

Sorry for bumping this post if I did, but I realized, I bought a korean modded US wii. what should I do? And what complications would I have? Would it be NTSC or PAL in that case?

But I also heard that the Korean NTSC-K modded NTSC-U can't update to 4.2 firmware? Which means I can't connect it to the internet or it would brick when auto-updating? And as for games, do any of them have a firmware update requirement? If I play a PAL game on the NTSC wii, would anything happen? Sorry for all the questions, but I really need to know what to do, and I don't want to risk bricking my wii.
