Reply With Quote... I have no idea why a pc game will unrar but not a wii game... Are you trying to uncompress the iso too?
I downloaded with uTorrent ... I then check the .sfv file with Quicksfv ...It told me that all the .rar files in the archive were complete. I then downloaded WinRAR 3.80 Pro ...
The first sequence of extraction worked ... it takes all 90 some odd files and makes a file that is 4.59 Gigs large ... then I click on that to extract and thats where I get the error ... Its says either it is an unknown file or it is corrupt.
=( I have also downloaded a PC game in the meantime ... and have had ZERO problems extracting the .rars
... I have no idea why a pc game will unrar but not a wii game... Are you trying to uncompress the iso too?

What was the problem?

2. If they do than it is not a .rar or winrar problem, and could just be that you are downloading corrupted archives;
3. People purposely upload corrupted and virus/trojan infected files to try and stop p2p and similar sites.

Lol well ... everything was fine ... as you stated earlier I was trying to extract the ISO ... I did not have a .iso burning utility installed on my PC at the time therefore it just came up as a .rar file.
I got IMGburner ... using that I have burned the .iso with my Verbatim DVD-r at 4x speed with a Wasabi DX mod chip and everything is working fine.
Again .. Thank you all for the help .... The only issue was me being a dumbass lol
glad you fixed it, i had a feeling it the iso... I have been a pc tech for 12 years I have seen it all lol
Hi! I'm relitively new to all this as well, and having a problem w rar files as well. Bear with me if this is too basic.
I have already unlocked my wii using the homebrew etc, but am having a hard time figuring out what to do with the downloaded game (torrent) I Downloaded DDR and it has 18 rar files. extracting doesnt work - get error about files over 4G. I downloaded WBFS manager but have NO idea how to wwork it and dont have an external HD. Help!

Ah, this sounds like you have your hard drive formated in Fat32 and not NTFS... In my computer right click the drive and go to properties to check... IF you have a FAT file system you cant have ANY single file over a certain size. If you have FAT you can convert it really easy... Click start, Run, then CMD... This opens a Dos prompt... Then type this: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs drive letter is the drive you want to convert... if your drive has a name you will need to know it, like my main hdd is named Prime and my Usb drives are names Alpha, Bravo, ect.... so in my case I'd convert C: then it will ask for the name, so I type Prime and it will go from there... Hope I helped you...
how do i get the iso out of the .rar if i can't extract!!!! i have imgburn and i don't see the .rar nor is there a .iso.... but i have .rar back-ups
