    Compressed/Scrubbed games

    Hi all,

Just a couple of hours ago I went ahead and purchased 2 wasabiDX chips 1 for me and 1 for a friend. Although now i'm thinking I may have jumped the gun a bit ...

I've successfully modded my xbox1 and figured the wii wouldn't be TOO different ... Now i'm feeling like my laziness has beat me

So I've been doing some searching and found a link to HippyFreaks ISO thread over at tehparadox ...

But as I started scrolling through I saw more and MORE "compressed" games ... I then did another quick search and read something where someone mentioned "scrubbed" games as being the same as compressed.

Now i'm wondering - is there ANY downside to running these compressed games? Will I just lose some video cut scenes or something? I can't seem to find a straight foward answer after several searches ... And will I need anything other than just my modchip to run them?

Also am I correct in thinking that I need to run HBC to load my Backed Up burned ISO games even though i've got a modchip ??

    thanks

All Wii isos are the same size, however not all games utilise this available space with game code. Scrubbed games are those that have the Nintendo rubbish data replaced with compressible data. In some cases these games or no more than 200MB of game data and over 4GB of useless filler.

Woudl you rather download a 200MB winrar archive or a 4.3GB winrar archive for the same result?

Scrubbed games work fine on my Wiikey2 although I don't know about wasabiDX. Try a scrubbed game burnt to disc and see.
