Question ISO & USB Loader Questions????

    Hi,

I've got about 150 or so ISO's stored games on my external HD and i want to play then from my other External HD instead of burning all 150 games to a disk.

I know my external HD needs to be in a specific format/Partition WFBS
(i think thats what its called)
So my Wii can recognize it and boot the games off it.

    I have 2 wii's one is 3.2U and other is 4.0U

I mainly use my 3.2 and i already have it modded and all and have played off the external HD many times already.

My question is with my current setup I have to insert the DVD game into the wii then install the game to the external HD with the USB loader. Each game took me anywhere from 3min - 25min and my burned games took about (30min - 40min I don't know why my burned games take so long to install??)

Is there anyway to just Drag & Drop these 150 ISO files from my computer to the external HD and have the Wii recognize it instead of installing 1 DVD at a time?

    Im using SD/USB loader v1.5 by Waninkoko/kwiirk

    Thanks for your help

    Awesome!

Found exactly what I was looking for.

1 other question as this might relate to the same area of concern.

I've got like 50+ virtual console/wiiware titles i want to play and of course the Main Wii HD wont handle all those installed as it is limited.

Is there a way to install those virtual/wiiware titles onto the external HD instead of installing them as a channel on the main menu??

    Thanks for your reply.

What you are suggesting with the VM/WiiWare very much sounds like what the SD channel is used for in 4.0. You should be able to install a lot of games to an SD card.

I don't believe there's an option cureently to install these game to Hard Disk and I doubt if it'd be coming from Nintendo anytime soon. It could be something that could happen in the hack scene eventually.

It depends how you updated to system menu 4.0.

In the normal way using Wii system update option you will find that you cannot use your SD card to load pirate games.

What you need to do is install a patched IOS60 that circumvents this.

See reference '2)' on the following Dogeggstutorial, that will help. (Install ISO60patched.wad)

I had a Virgin 4.0U wii so i wasn't able to mod it on a lower system menu...I received it a sa 4.0U and hacked it with BannerBomb......I used a TUT from another site to hack the 4.0U to have homebrew and all the rest of the apps.

So your saying if i follow what you just linked it should work??

So you should have no prolem installing the wad then. There are more threads already dealing with this situation, here's an example.

I actually figured it out....I got the answer from another forum site.

After I installed the BannerBomb hack for the 4.0U system menu to get hombrew......all I had to do after that was delete the "atkn" folder on the SD card and my SD icon would work perfectly no problem. I can now install as many WAD files as i want on my 8GB SD card without having to worry about memory space.

Hope this helps other people as well.

I was having the same problem, the deleting atkn from your private folder fixed it.
