    Try-out Wii

Does anyone know any chains that have the Wii out to try?

Or is any rental places are renting them out yet?

If you have a local EBgames, check it out. Last time I've been to one had it but it was turned off and no controllers were available... =(

At the EBGames and Gamestop locations, you need to give a driver's license and/or credit card to the clerk in exchange for the remote. That way you won't run off with it.

That's just sad. Are the wii controllers much more expensive than the XBOX or Gamecube controllers?

Not really, but for the PS3 and XBOX kiosks, the controllers are physically attached so you can't run off with them. For the Wii, the really get a good experience, you need to be able to have free form motion with the remote and that's hard to do with it tied down. Bu they need to find a way somehow so that people can just as easily try out a demo Wii in stores without having to jump through so many hoops.

They're not really expensive, but hard to get from what I hear so I could see someone just walking off with them.

    Haha, no wonder =\

Dang, they need a sign letting people about the rule that you need to exchange your cc/driver's card for the remote!

My Walmart has a Wii demo up and running. You don't need a credit card and/or ID but there are a couple of Wii standing by to make sure nobody jacks the controllers
I think all stores should just have a long wire attached to the kiosk...

Gamestops have them. I had to hand over my wallet for the wiimote. I played with it for 15 minutes then I got my wallet back. I took out the money first though!
