    Are you happy?

Before buying the Wii, I guess you could say I hadn't done my research. I'm a huge FPS gamer, and thus far, Nintendo hasn't mentioned much regarding the Wii and FPS games.

I've played both, Wii Sports and Madden '07, and I've been happy with the two. But, I'm very bummed out about the whole online capability issue. They've stated online play won't be available til after March of 2007, and the games I was looking forward to, aren't even available online.

Are you happy with your Wii console? As of right now, I'm questioning my purchase.

My advice would be to keep the Wii. I said the same thing you did when the Nintendo DS first launched. It took Nintendo close to a year to start bringing out some AAA titles for it. I expect Nintendo to do the same with the Wii. Keep the Wii, otherwise you will only end up rebuying it which is Nintendo's master plan anyway when they decide to release them in different colors other than the white.

By time I get one all of the colors will probably be out.
I imagine they won't start releasing new colors until some time next year or later, after the hype has died down and you can just walk into a store and there are plenty.

I agree with you. Not only will you get one in your favorite color, but all the bugs/quirky things will be fixed too.

I have to admit I didn't know about them varying the colours. Nintendo continues to market their products in an accessible way. It's similar to the I-MAC's and the craze the differen't colours caused.

I think it is worth to keep if you are into FPS games. While there aren't many right now Metroid is just around the corner and the control system offers a unique take on FPS gameplay. If you are looking for a typical gaming experience you should probalby focus on the ps3 or xbox 360. If you are looking for something that is going to change the way you play games then stick with the wii. Also, if you are into graphics WII might not be your number one choice as it is the least powerful of the systems.

(I swear I dont' work for nintendo's marketing department)

Metroid on the NES (or was it SNES) didn't appeal to me at all because the first mission was nearly impossible (or I was just stupid). The GBA version, however, won me over and now I can't wait for the Wii version.

It was probably the NES as I remember a few people cursing at their screens while playing it.

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the original Metroid either because you just wandered around in an endless maze with no real purpose.
