well if its a partial bricking then all you need to do is reset the wii, pull out all the cables and plug them back in.

if its a full bricking then there is nothing you can really do sorry.

How the hell did you managed to brick the wii? Second does anyone happen to know if the wiikey has a feature to disable completly firmware updates via internet or game disc. I heard that super mario galaxy will automatically update the firmware to whatever is the latest upon release date.

I gotta say...Piracy is bad. I never have money, but at least I go out and buy games. If people keep stealing games, they are gonna make it worse and worse on people. Think about the music industry. They have to come out with CDs that can't be copied now. Why? Because one person buys a CD and the rest download it. So stop stealing games.

I think you heard wrong. At least here in America it would be illegal for them to do something like that. They can't force an update, they can only force you to update something if you wont to play it. They can;t just make it autoinstall by popping the disc in... at least not in America

Well, they want to make sure that people are actually buying the games, so if you want to play, an update is in a sense forced upon you. They did the same thing with Metroid Prime 3. But, if you don't have a modded console, you have nothing to worry about!

As long as you are updating with the region your console is, there is no worries, modded console or not.

This isn't true whatsoever. Does anyone remember the controversy when a certain Beastie Boys album installed DRM all by its lonesome whenever you inserted it into a PC? Damn you, autorun! So there is one example of a situation in which just such a thing has happened.

Perhaps it has happened, but it is not legal for them to do so. I am thinking they are not going to do something that they can do, just illegally. IT IS NOT LEGAL TO INSTALL ANYTHING ON SOMEONE'S PERSONAL HARDWARE WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE. You OWN the hardware, you DO NOT OWN the games, you own a license to use them.
