3.1x Wiis - How about an UPGRADE guide?

    Hi Guys!

I am an owner of a rather old, but unused Wii. The firmware is 3.1E, and I have a WiiKey2 modchip. Sadly, I was unable to find a definitive upgrade guide for pre-3.2x Wiis. Even the "3.1-3.4 Twilight/Downgrade/Starfall/GammaTutorial" has the 3.1 only in the title
    So I have some questions.
    1. What is the most convenient way to upgrade to 3.2E? AnyRegionChanger? cIOS downgrader? I would rather not upgrade to 3.4 just to downgrade after it. Which IOSes are needed besides 38, 53, 55 to have 3.4 compatibility?
    2. If I have a modchip, is it recommended to have starfall as well for update prevention?
    Thanks for the input.

    Hmm, I don't think that's a good idea, I would be much relaxed with a 3.2E

There's no game disk with 3.2 firmware, so load a game with 3.3 and let the game update your Wii
Then follow the EOC's guide to downgrade you to 3.2

    Rocket Science it ain't
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Thanks... But that's what I really want to avoid
BTW: how to do this without an internet connection? Is it possible?

Do you already have the homebrew channel installed ?
The biggest problem you will have if you don't upgrade to 3.3 or even 3.4 and then downgrade is that you will be missing a lot of ios's which will make life very difficult

An excerpt from a post called "Wad Problem"

"After A LOT of google search I finally found someone who had the same problem as me. Apparently this problem exists only to people that had Firmware lower than 3.2E when they started homebrew, so they upgraded straight to 3.2E. His way of fixing the problem was to perform an official update to 3.4E and then redowngrade to 3.2. The cause of the problem is supposed to be some IOS's from the newer versions he was missing."

Yep, IOSes like 38, 53, 55? If so, they can be added via Wad Manager afterwards...
Or are we talking about other IOSes?

WHY ask a question and then query the answer you have been given ??

IF it was just those ISO's I would say so
