51330 internet error

I just got my wii in about 2 hours ago. i've tried connecting it to the internet. the first time I had it search for access points and it found my linksys router, then asked for the wpa password, I type it in and it gave me the 51330 error.

i've googled the error and tried a few of the solutions i've found, like changing the router to channel 11. I've gone to the wireless mac filter tab, and it show both my blackberry's in there as active pcs on that tab, but shows the wii as an inactive pc.

anyone got any other suggestions or links to something that could be helpful?

Linksys Router from the Model Seriers/Family WRT54XXXX= Family Model!
This line/family of routers has known problems that Linksys has refused to
address/fix.. and is the cause for a lot of woes with P2P programs the Wii DVD
Dumper and the Downgraders. To solve this problem you can either get a
new router or look into installing the custom firmware: DD-WRT.

ehhhhh. I was looking into the dd-wrt before, but decided not too, because I don't want to brick the router. well maybe i'll trying calling nintendo customer service, ad see if they can help. I did try to manual setup the wifi last night on the wii, and then it popped up with a different error 52130. so maybe i'm getting somewhere, but who knows.

thanks

I have been down that route, Nintendo will just refer you to the fact that it is not the Wii at fault, and that Linksys knows about the problem but don't want to do anything about it
New router or ethernet cable adaptor or steal the neighbours wireless

Unhappy 51330 with cIOS38_rev13b

I installed cIOS38_rev13b and then noticed that I was unable to connect to the internet.

If I was to just reinstall cIOS38 Rev13, would that fix the problem?
