Help! My daughter put 2 DVDs into Wii.

My daughter thought no DVD is inside and sadly pushed hard one more DVD into Wii.

What happened was that Eject, Power and any other buttons did not work at all to get them out. Wii still could boot up but showed No disc message only. And I could hear no sound of DVD motor activities.

So I disassembled Wii and had to uncovered the dvd metal cover to remove DVDs.

After then, I hoped that Wii should work again but the drive did not accept DVD at all. The motor still did not make any noise to accept and play DVD. Weird thing I found is that the DVD entrance looks blocked by two small metal objects like below:

    Wii DVD enterance [---------UUUU------------UUUU--------]

That metal object looks belong to the DVD drive frame and I have no idea why it is so popped out to block the DVD entrance. When I was trying to remove DVDs, I had to pull it out through its back side, not through its normal front door.

I have no more idea for this problem. Please help me!!!

Sounds like you may need to buy a new drive. I have no clue how much they are. I have seen them for sale while searching for crystal cases. Other than that I have no other suggestions. Good luck

I think its best to but a new Wii, unless you have time to figure out if anything got loose or stuck in the process of trying to open and fix it.

Maybe a place that modds wiis can look at it for you. They probably have experiance in all types of that sort of stuff. Any shops near your area? Or depends when and where you bought it take it back . I bought one at walmart played with it and then took it back for a full refund ( I had to try it out )

    May I suggest something?
Take out the DVD drive again from your Wii.
Put 1 disc through the back of it.
Try to start it up again.
YES! I finally finished my Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas port for Mac! I'm so happy

What problem will that solve..... He will still have the issue of the blockage to install discs to play. gg.

If theres a modder located near you maybe they can have a look at ti for you, or you could probably send it to nintendo for them to fix it etc.....

I was just thinking that those 2 metal things were the things to stop the game from falling out or something, and if he tried ejecting it, they would move back up inside the DVD drive.

And that is why none of us ask you to think ;D. I think you need to just buy a new drive, you can get cheap ones from ebay. If you do get a new drive, make sure it isnt covered in epoxy though.
