Need help with upgrading my super outdated wii firmware 2.0u!

Hello, I really need help from someone who can teach me how to update my wii firmware. my wii had been modified 2 years ago and it has been staying on version 2.0u for long time. Now i am having problem loading some of the new games so i decided to update the firmware and see what will happen. Is there a way to update my modified wii to a quite updated software without bricking it? Thank you thank you thank you!

first of all, ensure what mod-chip was applied in the 2-yr old wii console. the chip f/w needed an update, most likely.
then, update ur wii f/w, either by game disc, or wifi link.
as u could see, many players still at 3.2u, while a few at 3.3u, some at 3.4u. pls get into the FAQ zone b4 u leap into updating.

    as a quik move:
3.1u Wii Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel
    3.2u One Piece Unlimited Cruise
    3.3u Samba de Amigo
    3.3u Wii_Music
3.4u via wifi link to Nintendo server

    ur call

Hmm... never used chips, I softmodded, but if you want to retain your ability to use software hacks that don't require chips or any hardware, don't go past 3.2, with starfall you can even block automatic game updates and play games without having to update to a nearly unhackable 3.4 or worse.

assuming a 2-yr old boy holds a wiikey mod-chip, u may like to proceed an update like:
    wiikey 1.9s + configuration
    all be done via dvd-r

well, it's ur Google time now.......

try twice, or even triple, the wiikey updating.
if failure insisted, u got something else, not wiikey.
    sorry, if it happens.
