How easy is it to get someone to give over a credit card number with the offer of free points.
How easy would it be to set up a web site with the offer of free points, ask for credit card details and then sell those details on the black market so bad people could use your credit card details as verification to get all sorts of debit, like loans and other credit cards.
Here in the UK credit card details can be used for all sorts of proof of credit worthiness, proof of age, and a way of getting mobile phones.
You dont have to use a stolen credit card to buy anything for it to be usefull, you can use it in other ways.
Even if these sites dont rip of your card deets, they spam the hell out of you.
Plenty of these sites are just for gathering information so it can be used later. Some of these sites run for months or years gathering data before bad things happen, and then they say "oh the site got hacked" and all the data falls into the wrong hands, and the site goes down with the owner having a fat wad of cash in his bank account from selling the data files.

I used gaminglagoon before and it worked. (Bought a Nexon Gamepoint Card) and they emailed the code to me within a few days. So I trust them, however I don't think the time and effort was worth it. Better to use that time to get a job XD
they usually are scams. They usually have you go through answer a whole bunch of surveys, then have you sign up for silver, gold, and platinum offers. And you have to do 3 silver, 3 gold, and 2 platinum. The silver and gold cost you around 20 bucks or so if you cancel at the right time, not to soon or to late. And the platinum could cost you 50 - 100 bucks including the chance of having to have someone come out and install dish satillite system on your house..... Lol
then you might have to refer 5 people to do the exact same. Which is almost impossible. Always read the terms of service and all of that. It will tell you how long you have to maintain the offers and all that good referral stuff. If you still want to do it.. Then go for it but i would recommend just waiting to go spend the money yourself. Its better.
