Thanks for helping. I was not really looking to play DVDs. I would like to play some TV progs from the SD card. I was following the manual trying to convert to MJPEG or MOV without success. Can you recommend a converter and format that would work without mods?
    Thanks.

You don't need to convert it. GeeXBoX supports most formats.

Thanks for the tip. Now I have 2 feiends with the same question. Maybe I confused the issue, but what video format (on SD card) is recognised by the Photo Channel on a out-of-box virgin Wii ver.3.3U?
It seems the manual (MJEPEG and MOV is incorrect.

Quicktime - according to the manual
So did you alter your video output as I suggested
"........... try reducing your video output to 848 x 480 before putting them on the card "
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?

Thanks for replying. Yes, tried that, and a few other things. Still get unsupported format message. Apart from the manual saying it's possible, has anyone actually been able to watch a TV episode from an SD card on the Wii?
