    Unhappy Very new here...

and I know that I'm going to sound like an idiot here, but I read tutorials and did searches and have only ended up more confused!
I have Wii, I do not have it connected to the internet. I simply want to be able to make backup copies of games I own - well, I thought this was simple when I began my search! I now have no idea where to start, how much this will cost me, etc.
Is there anyone out here who wouldn't mind doing a little hand holding? TIA!

You could either go the softmod way(Homebrew with no modchip installed) or the modchip way(buying a modchip and installing it into the wii drive). Softmod is safer but requires more work but isn't as good as a modchip for modchips have the stealth system and are easier to update. Start from there, blue pill or red pill =] Oh yea, you could have it both ways doing both at the same time.

    Thanks for the tips...

This is obviously not as simple as I had hoped it would be....I should have known
If I get a modchip, is there someplace that will show me how and where it needs to be attached? I think that is something my husband could do.... and once it's attached - I can just copy my games and it will play them, or is it a more involved process than just using clonedvd? (I read about rar files and raw dumps....it left me feeling like this may all just be too much...)

first off with a soft mod you wont have to have a stranger messing around with your wii cause once they open the wii's case say good bye to the warranty.
my point is not about the modders its about the cheapest way to go about modding your wii. and how to dump/burn games.

secondly its not that hard momof3girls if you take the time and do it step by step in the tutorials, with no internet im not sure you can do it unless theres a way to download the files to a storage device and install the Custom iso files to your wii,i have not read into that but its worth taking a look on google,

there are lots of videos on fitting modchips on this site and youtube, depending on the type of wii you have will kinda dictate which chip you need or want. costs more but less hassle in long run

you could also do "softmod" but you need original copy of zelda twilight princess, plus more installs of "ios" (like wii system files)free but requires a bit of work

as for copying your games its probably easier to just download and burn them
