So I bought this used Wii...

I bought this used Wii for 50$ with cables only, no Wii remote, the Wii's pretty modified, the health and screen menu is edited to a custom one, and the Wii menu is black (Its a white Wii) with a lot of homebrew apps as well (the seller said it was already modified, the guy looked a bit suspicious)
I decided to turn it on to see if I wasn't scammed, it turned on and since I have no Wii mote I had to wait for the custom health and screen to go away alone, after it did I decided to see if the Wii's DVD drive was working (the Wii was pretty dirty, I already have my own Wii I bought new on Netherlands, this one's just a secondary to keep me entertained while I still don't have mine) and I inserted a normal CD-RW on it to see if it was reading or not (I know what the Wii's reading sound is like), it started reading, then clicked 3 times and stopped, dunno if this is from the Wii's DVD drive or maybe it just refused to load it at all.

Also, the Wii is totally modified (and I don't know which version is it) so how can I remove every single sh*t it was added on it (like themes, I don't like themes as they brick the Wii) and re-hack it with letterbomb?

    Thanks

EDIT: Inserted a DVD and it didn't clicked, it did however stopped reading it after a while.

First, the Wii cant read CDs...

Second, themes don't brick Wii's. It is the installation process of a theme that can brick you if you don't know exactly what you are doing. If it is already themed and working, then it is fine.

Third, you will need to run a syscheck and post it here in this thread in order for us to be able to tell what has been done to it.

Fourth, if it already has the Homebrew Channel, you don't need to use letterbomb (or any other exploit for that matter. Letterbomb is for SM 4.3 only and you yourself said you have no idea what version it is)

Fifth, you didnt specify what kind of DVD you put in, you just said "a DVD". Wii DVD? Movie? Your statement doesnt tell us anything useful.

Post a syscheck here in this thread. A how-to guide is linked to below in my sig.

Usually a clicking drive is due to a faulty drive or poor media. In this case, I'd have to guess its poor media since you said it was a CD-RW which as pointed out is incomparable with a Wii. I'd post a syscheck as suggested but you might also want to try a regular Wii game and see what happens.

And his edit of generic DVD remark is meaningless. Hell, it'd do that with a BLANK DVD. You want help, you gotta meet us halfway.

My guess is that he's just excited to try it out but hasn't been able to pick up any games yet and just wants to try something.

    @Krafter:

It's possible but this guy isn't a straight line kind of guy. This is his second Wii. His other Wii is awesome. Oh, he doesn't have it right now. Makes sense (not), lol

The train of thought is all over the map in post #1. If it truly is his other Wii, undoubtedly he'd have some games on hand from the first Wii but maybe they were magically transported into the ether with that first awesome Wii

Can you calm down for a bit? I had no Wii remote at the time thus couldn't control the Wii.

The Wii came with the black theme (its a white theme), so I downloaded the original White 4.3E theme from ModMii and installed it on my Wii using Mymenuify, worked perfectly white theme is already installed.
Then I attempted to make a syscheck, it booted, appeared ''32 IOS, 12 are stub'' then it didn't even concluded the syscheck, it just rebooted back to bootmii for some reason, I figured it didn't had any cIOS yet so I installed every cIOS that was on wiihacks's mauifrog's (how to softmod a Wii) guide.
I also ran letterbomb and installed bootmii and reinstalled Homebrew Channel (the wii wasn't even hacked properly, it didn't had neither bootmii nor priiloader) so I installed priiloader as well.
I ran WiiMC, I inserted a movie and WiiMC read it perfectly, I figured it reads DVD's and since my primary Wii didn't read movies, I'm pretty sure this one runs burned DVD's (still not sure).

I'll be posting a syscheck soon if needed.

I have my first Wii which I bought new on Netherlands, the reason I don't have it with me its because I live in Portugal and I went there on vacations, and since I didn't had space on my luggage to bring the Wii + games + cables etc with me, I left it there and will pick it up this December, but nah that doesn't make sense either does it?
Stop being dumb when I asked for some help ok?

Calm down and stop being dumb? Sorry guy, we left the crystal ball back in the Netherlands (right beside your first Wii) so we're left with "filling in the blanks" relating to your other posts.

Yepi, you have to understand that with the info you provided/were capable of providing we had nothing to go upon in order to really give you any help. You wanted to know if the DVD drive works but had no games to test - kind of difficult to do that. You wanted to diagnose internal issues with no Wii remote - kind of difficult to do that as well. Basically what you posted in post 1 is the equivalent of calling your car mechanic and asking why you cant drive your car, but then saying that the steering wheel isnt attached yet and there's no gas in it. How can anyone possibly know? So go get a steering wheel (Wii Games), put some gas in (get a Wii Remote), and then we can talk. Otherwise it is a moot point...
