Virtual Console Emulation vs. FCE Ultra GX

Am I the only person who noticed that many times FCE plays games more accurately than Nintendo's official VC releases? Case in point, Super Mario Bros. VC plays much faster than it should -- or maybe that's just because it's PAL? I grew up with NTSC.

I have noticed this as well and not only to FCE but with other emulators as well.
For instance Majora's mask In Wii64 runs faster and smoother than the official VC release

Honestly I would say the wii ports faster.

The original OOT and MM on 64 specifically OOT had major lag near the end.
On the GC disc it's not as bad.
Also on VC I believe it's said the lag is non existent.
If I am incorrect tell me, but this is what I've read.

Graphically the N64/GC ports are the same
The wii one smooths out the jaggy's a little.

Also I though wii64 was kinda bleh. Did they update or fix it recently?
