Is there a timer or an auto-off feature in the wii which can be used.
The USB drive which is attached will not switch off if my kids leave the WII up and running and I am concerned that the USB drive may not last long.

Is your Wii in standby mode? What color is the power light when you shut the Wii down?
It is not in standby, when I shutdown, the color is red.
I was looking for a feature like the timer on TV's, after a period of inactivity the WII should turn off.
I really dont think there is anything like that, but I am not sure! Maybe someone else might know.
