I was feeling a bit nostalgic, so I grabbed my copy of Sonic Colors and was going to pop it in and play it for a bit.
Turning the system on and other actions have sometimes caused the occasional "system files are corrupted" screen to appear, but these don't usually serve problems. I do feel it's worthy of note though.
Anyway, I go to the disc channel screen, and a message pops up saying that it's required for me to have a service update, and something about the removal of hacked content. It wouldn't let me exit the screen, so it left me with the choice of either turning the system off completely or accepting the update.
I don't want a brick, but I also don't want to remove the HBC and all my other files. What should I do to get this to go away?
EDIT: I accidently hit the "update" button whilst checking to see exactly what the screen said, and after a short 6-second update, I find that absolutely nothing is gone. Well, as long as this worked, this topic is now unneeded.
