Shop Channel Updated to v21

That's right, it's now at version 21, from what I've read it doesn't add anything special, just IOS62 and the Wii U Transfer Tool (found for free in the Shop Channel). These 2 new add-ons are used to transfer your game saves, WiiWare, Virtual Console and others Channels downloaded in the Shop Channel, over to your WiiU (if you're lucky enough to have one :p)
Anyway I updated using Multi-Mod Manager's channel manager so I didn't have to do my whole system or mess around installing wads :)

How to update your Shop Channel:

1) Open Multi-Mod Manager 13.4

2) Go to "Load another IOS" and choose IOS-236

3) Go to "Manage Wii Channels"

4) Press right until it says Shop Channel then press down and press right to select your region

5) Press A and wait....this might take a few minutes. If you do it right the end result will look like this:

Press any button to continue.

6) Press Home, then Home again and one last time to exit to the Wii menu. Load the Shop Channel and enjoy buying WiiWare games, Channels, and your favorite classic games again while still having your Softmod 100% intact.

It should be noted IOS62 will not be installed If you update the way I detailed above as it is actually added by the "System Update" function and is not part of the Shop Channel. As of today (November 13th) you can download IOS62 separately via NUS Downloader or ModMii and install it with Multi-Mod Manager.

How do i can i get ios62 installed on my wii i used the nus downloader and got the newest shop channel version 21 but can not find ios62 any where. Also how did you use Multi-mod manager to get ios62?

I don't think IOS62 is even needed, I don't have it and have experienced no problems.

To get the newest Shop Channel check out the first post, I have edited it with instructions on how to update it via Multi-Mod Manager

I wonder if it has anything to do with how you transfer WiiWare, saves, shop points, Miis, and shop channel activity to a WiiU, the manual says you insert an SD card into the WiiU to start the process, insert it into the Wii, go to the Shop Channel and download a a transfer application, that application will transfer that information to the SD card, after that you re-insert the SD card into your WiiU and the transfer process should be complete.

All that is stated in the instruction manual of the WiiU console, but I have no idea if that is what the Shop channel update is.

The running theory is that that is part of it and what IOS62 is for but it remains to be seen. According to IGN the transfer is a one way thing, once sent to WiiU it is gone from Wii, but I wonder what would happen if I did the transfer and then restored the Wii NAND? Lol.

Lol, I bet it could serve as a backup storage device for you saves, Miis, and everything else, if the transfer application can force an update, I don't think it would do anything since all the cIOSs and everything else are at the maximum slot, which is 65535 right ?

If the transfer app tried to force an update on the Wii it would do one of 2 things. 1) Stub all of the cIOS and remove HBC or 2) Fail if you have Priiloader blocking updates.
