Problem with error#002 when trying to play The Conduit 2

Hi, I have not posted here in a long time. I have my Wii soft moded with homebrew and all my games have worked fine except for The Conduit 2. I am getting a blue screen with the error#002. I have googled it but I have forgotten all the lingo. What do I need to do exactly to fix this? My sd card reader does not always work so I am hoping I already have the file I need on my SD card already. My Wii is version 4.2u and everything works accept this game. The Wii shop channel works etc. I know I should not have Homebrew on my Wii since I am clearly not smart enough but please be gentle with me and tell me in dummy terms what I need to do. I read one post when I googled that said all I need to do is boot the game with gecko OS but I don't have that. My friend is here and we want to play the game so what is the quickest way to do it? Thanks.

Are you trying to play from the original disc, backup disc, or usb loading?

That game needs IOS57. Chances are you do not have it. Simplest way to get it is to follow THIS GUIDE to install MMM, then follow the IOS Manager instructions in said guide to install IOS57. When prompted, load IOS wad from Ninty Servers.

So if my SD card reader does not work I am screwed? That looks like a lengthy process. Is it easier to just get gecko OS? How would I do that? How do I know if I have IOS57 already? I see it in the wad manager hoembrew thing. Can you IM me? Can I call you?

Lengthy process? Download MMM, extract to sd card, put sd card back in wii, launch MMM from homebrew channel, click IOS manager, install IOS57. 5 minutes max.... You can run a syscheck to see if you have IOS57, but if trying to load from original disc using the disc channel and you get that error, that means you probably do not have that IOS. Gecko OS? Not going to get much help with that app around here.

EDIT: in the time it took to wait for a response it could be done already . Not as hard as you think.

Well, if my sd card reader does not work, I won't be able to do that. I will try it but if you can im me on aim or yahoo {removed email for your protection} that would really help out. Phone would be better. Let me see if I can get the SD card reader to work.

SD card reader is not working. I am thinking about just updating the Wii and getting rid of homebrew. I hate all these stupid little things that I have to constantly do. Homebrew should be way easier. I should be able to just go to homebrew and update all this stuff right through that channel.

Not homebrew's fault you have a bum sd card reader. If you dont appreciate or want what homebrew has to offer then get rid of it. Your call. No one forced you to put it on there. Sometimes mods require maintenance for new games, a little tweaking here and there. Comes with the territory.

And what I told you to do WAS updating that stuff right thru that channel...lol
