If that is all you did then you are not fully modded. Do as cjizzle said and follow the guide. I was assuming that you had done that already.

Sent with WiiHacks app, that should explain any typos 8-p

uuuhhh, I don't know, from what I read, downgrading from 4.3 to 4.1 is risky, so I think I'll deal with just unplugging the wii whenever I want to watch a DVD, Thanks anyway

No more risky than anything else you do to your Wii as long as you follow the instructions. Your choice though its your Wii

Just an FYI, the guide we have referred you to has had over 3 million hits...

LOL. What u gonna do with homebrew and no cIOS? Just finish the guide. If it bricks ill trade u one of mine. . If u follow the guide, there is no more of a chance to brick than doing a system update from Nintendo.

Buy one of those switches then you just push a button. The dvd playback is not really that impressive to me anyhow. If you have digital copies of those movies on an hdd then wiiMC will be one of your favorite apps.

Ok, well, since I didn't install bootmii, I decided to try using letterbomb again, so I copied all the files on my SD card and saved them on my PC, and formatted the SD card and put the files on, but now I can't see the red envelope. should I just delete homebrew and start over again?

You don't need to use letterbomb again since you already have the Homebrew Channel. Follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide, starting at the spoiler "Softmods with Homebrew Channel installed".

Type your Wii serial number in THIS PAGE. It will tell you what kind of drive chip you have.
