MMM is reverting back to IOS 236

    Hello,

When I open MMM and click on "load another iso" it will say that the IOS has changed but when I exit MMM and then re-enter it, the IOS is reverted back to IOS236. Also, when I first open MMM there is a brief delay where it say's "current: IOS58" then switches to "current: IOS236" after 1 second.

I want to fix this because I cannot use my USB loader with all functions. I want to use IOS249.

I have tried installing IOS236 again but to no avail. Would it be okay to delete IOS236 and would this be a solution?

I looked everywhere for the last few days and could find no other similar problem/solution.

    Thanks,
    -Chrono

There's some config file for MMM that should be able to change the default IOS. Look in the readme that should have came with MMM. Also, it shouldn't matter which IOS you use on MMM, it should function fine on any patched IOS.

Thanks again Shano, I will try that when I get home.

I am not having a problem with MMM other than it is not allowing me to change the current IOS to 249. The real problem is that all usb loaders that I have tried can load my wii games but none of them can load the few wiiware games we had bought, using dual WBFS/FAT32 partitions. I followed the loader tutorials to a tee but when loading any of the three wiiware games we have it drops to main wii menu. I assume at this point that the problem has to be running 236 and not 249. I assume this from covering other posts and reading that 236 is primarily for installing wads and 249 is mainly used for usb loaders.

    Does this sound right?

    Thanks

Seems like you got the right idea. 236 generally is a patched version of IOS36 I believe, used to install stuff like wads (like vc games and other IOS/cIOS). "249" is the default slot for waninkoko's old cIOS and a newer cIOS called "d2x" (google search this if you've never heard of it).

Basically 236, 249, 250 etc are just "slots" that you use to put cIOSes in (the c in cIOS means "custom"), which are based off of official nintendo IOSes (e.x. 37, 38, 56, etc).

Go ahead and post a syscheck for me. If you don't know what a syscheck is or how to post one is, do the following:

    Download this homebrew http://syscheck.googlecode.com/files/syscheckb15.zip
Put it in your /apps folder
    Run it
Put your sd/usb device in your computer
open the syslog.cvs in wordpad (not notepad)
    and paste it here

The default IOS for MMM has no relationship to the IOS your USB loader is using. What do you mean by "cannot use your usb loader with all functions"? What loader are you using, and what functions you are referring to?

Deleting IOS236 would not change anything, and I would not recommend you delete it...
