    wad manager 1.7 question

When the wad manager asks to choose which ios to use, i chose ios248, although it recommends ios249. Is there any difference between the two? I only chose ios 248 because I have d2x installed on it, so i can use cfg usb loader.

I also used to hack super smash bros brawl, which required geckoos, and i cant remember if that installed anything on the 248 or 249 slot or required anything to do the same.

So will it do anything bad if i install/uninstall any wad on either slot?

    I am using a 4.3u Wii.

Use whatever works. It won't cause any problems. Anyway, it sounds like you aren't completely softmodded. Give the Softmod ANY Wii guide a read (link in my sig).

Thanks. Is there any big difference between being partially softmodded and completely softmodded? I already have homebrew channel and did a bootmii as ios backup (cant do as boot2, my wii is too new), so can I go straight to chapter 2 of the guide?

Also I noticed that when using my installed wad applications, whenever I press the home button, the screen fuzzes out and goes black for a short amount of time and goes back to normal. I've also noticed that every time I do it, the black screen part seems to get longer in duration. Should I be worried?

Re-do part one of the guide starting with the spoiler titled "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed." That will make sure you're running the latest HBC version on the right IOS. As for the fuzzy screen, I have no idea what could be causing that.

If everything is working OK then no need to do anything else.
