Gamecube games from hard drive? Hard-modded Wii

First off, I have used the search function. The only related guide, mentioned it was for use of soft-modded Wii consoles.

I have a hard-modded Wii with a USB hard drive. I'm not sure of the mod chip or firmware used, as someone else (who didn't speak brilliant English) did it for me after I found soft-modding it wasn't possible at the time.

My question is, is it possible to place Gamecube games on the hard drive, then load them and if so how?

If it helps at all, the software I have installed at the moment is 'WiiFlow', BackUp Channel 1 & 2 and 'the homebrew channel'.

    Thanks for any help possible.

Isn't there a project working toward this for non-hardmodded Wiis?

In that case, can anyone tell me how to play gamecube backups on it if possible? The only guide I've seen said 'make sure it's softmodded' so I don't want to risk following those instructions.

There is a program called swiss which is probably the closest u will get to what u are looking for, i have no info on it but just did a quick google and the info is about if u search, also i think Red_Gh0st has posted some info about it on this forum. So looks like u will have to do a bit of research.

Thanks for the idea. I don't think I can get Swiss to work on my Wii though.

Google result 1) Do not follow this guide if your Wii is hard modded

Google result 2&4^6) How to play Gamecube backups on your wii without a modchip

Others) Download <censored> or doesn't say if hard-mod/soft-mod.

That's why I'm asking here. The various videos and guides either mention soft-mod or don't mention what type of mod is used whatsoever.

If you want to play gamecube games from a hard drive then look into the Wode or Sundriver. If you want you can play them with discs. I think with your hardmod they work from disc any way. Right?

Apparently not though. Official Gamecube games work fine, but backup discs don't giving a cannot read error. Official and backup Wii games don't and need to be ripped to hard drive.
