    Sorry. I think I misunderstood. I would suggest finishing the softmod. Follow the softmod any Wii guide and u will be able to play gamecube backups from disc with Neogamma. If u want to play them from hdd, look into a Wode or sundriver.

    I think this one may be a misunderstanding. My Wii is already hardmodded with an unknown chip (so as far as I know I can't use Wode or Sundriver, since there's already a hardmod?) and I assume it's either had the firmware changed (softmod?) or at least the relevant software installed to play Wii games from USB, Homebrew channel, Backup channel, etc.

    Should I still be trying to softmod it? Will all the channels including WiiFlow, etc be retained?

    Sorry, since I didn't do the mod myself I'm not sure of the details and the guy who did works in another country I can't ask him what he did.

    Yeah. You can follow the softmod any Wii guide and it won't hurt anything. If you wanted to get either a Wode or sundriver, I believe the old mod chip would have to be removed. But no need to remove it with a softmod.
