    Factory reset CFW Wii?

So, my cousin gave me his old Wii since he'll be going aboard next year. Thing is, the console is full of ISO loaders and whatnot, and it's also probably flashed with a CFW. Would a factory reset (followed by an update to the latest official firmware) by any chance brick the system? I just want to play my Zelda.

    All help appreciated. Thank you.

There is a guide to get Zelda running. Formatting the memory and accepting an update could brick you. You need to know what is in there before you go that route. You should run a syscheck and post it here before messing with nintendo updates.

Hey, thanks for the fast reply! Here's the syscheck log (For some weird reason the app wouldn't create a .csv file, so I had to type it myself. I've excluded all IOS lines that read "No Patches".):

You don't have the patched system menu. If you really want to kill the softmod you can go into priiloader and disable the hacks to block updates and then accept the update from your zelda disc or do an online one. Your other option would be to just update the softmod and keep all the goodies that it provides.
