    Lightbulb WII 4.3U Softmod ISSUES!

    First off i want to say that i am a noob to softmodding. OK. Heres the long list of issues that im currently having...

    Heres the link to the tutorial that i used to Mod my wii (4.3u)

    <<FAIL LINK REMOVED>>

    <-------

    I followed the steps to a T. im currently running (4.3U). Everything seemed to go ok. I didnt get any erros when installing the wads. Didnt have any issues with Homebrew or the Priiloader. From there i plugged my usb hd in (with games already loaded) went to the wii menu. clicked on the wii usb loader channel. and got the an error saying

    I found
    222 = 0
    249 = 0
    Go figure out how to get some cIOS action going on in yiur Wii and come back and see me.

    I have no clue where i went wrong.

    I downloaded another version of Configurable USB Loader and that seemd to work. All of my games are there. Covers are There. So right when i think im good to go. YET another problem. certain games gives me a Stack Dump Error. So after trying a few things in hope that i could sort out the problem. I figured something out.... For what ever reasons my system doesnt seem to like the (cfg_default) theme. I changed the theme to GreyMatter and ALL of the games i tried to play on the previous theme WORKED. So in the settings i checked out the other themes that was there to (blue matrix, Glass, ect) i noticed that when changing from theme to theme SOME themes load up my game covers and others dont. they just show a Question Mark. From there i tried the (download missing covers)options and once again. I got a Black screen with error messages....

    I also noticed WiiFlow in the home brew channel. And i attempted to try it to see if it works. NO GLORY i get a black screen with a bunch of errors.. It wont load up AT ALL.

    can any one tell me where i went wrong??

    Thanks.

    You have two choices.

    Use our guides and ask for support here, or go get support from whomevers guide you've used.

    We do not support external guides.

    being that i am a noob i didnt notice. i ran across "this" exact same guide linked from another website to mod my first wii. and after following ALL the steps it downgraded my wii from 4.3u to 4.1. Thats why i ended up using the other tutorial to mod my second wii. The guide (from this site) helped out a great deal but for what ever reasons as ive intially stated in my first post. When i change themes. i get a black screen with stack dumb erros for some. While other themes seem to work just fine. Some themes also lose their covers while others dont. Any sugestions?

    So you wanted to stay on 4.3? Why? That makes no sense.

    I presume you used the guide mentioned in the first post to do your 2nd wii, which is the one thats not working. My point is that if you've incorrectly modded your wii using a video, we have no way of judging what you have done/messed up. Redo it with our guide, and we'll be able to help support it. If you follow youtube videos, please, again, seek help there. We have enough issues supporting our own stuff much less other... questionable stuff.

    I have issues with the guide i used from THIS site to mod ONE of my wiis. as a result. following all steps from THIS website. my wii some how got downgraded. My wii came with v4.3u Fresh out of the box. My issues again from using the guide on THIS website is.... Theme covers disappearing when i change them. and Stack Dump errors when i choose certain games using certain themes. AGAIN. these issues are from using THIS guide. Ill question the other website in regards to my other Wii. My mistake on that behalf.

    See, here's my point. If you'd followed the guide on our site, you wouldn't be getting that message.

    the game covers disappearing is a loader issue.. NOT because of our softmod guide. It is something that the developers of the loader need to fix.. we cant help you there. My 2cents? Find a theme that works fine and stick to it. end of story.

    Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here
