config file could not be created - the problem is usually that it can't find the \apps\wiimc folder.

I think it was more of a file locked error... I was updating some network/smb/ftp settings trying to restore my network drive share which seemed to stop working when shoutcast radio stopped. Neither working as of today, and it's not the primary problem anyways, just something I thought to mention.

Same problem here in UK (Shoutcast Radio not working)

The problem (I`m thinking) is with the (xml/PHP?) scripts using for browsing. I tested a 1.2.0 install and I could listen to the last station I listened to no problem... I just could not browse the Shoutcast network.

I tried Shoutcasts own servers from my PC... Working

I tried all the other online services on Wiimc... Working

    I tried WiiRadio 0.7... Working

I tried the last station I listened to (as wiimc remembers this)... Working

The problem is (I`m really no expert) in the (XML / PHP) scripts used when browsing

The main shoutcast site works from a laptop, but WiiMC`s portal to the shoutcast streams isn`t working for whatever reason. The main PHP that lists the genres is working, just nothing beyond that.

I`m guessing that the providers have removed the scripts?

Yes. This happened a while back, when a web host blocked access to shoutcast and youtube scripts.
The issue was resolved after a week or two. Probably be the same this time around too.

AH yes, so it seems to be. So, what was the cause?
