BootMii wasnt installed to Boot2 but as an IOS , can i now install it to Boot2 ?

hi again WiiHacks members , i get the infamous error message when trying to Restore my NAND in BootMii...........

BootMii not found, too dangerous to continue! If your SD is corrupt or restore is interrupted, you will be unable to boot to fix it. If you are sure you want to do this, KONAMI.

My Wii is already softmodded and obviously BootMii wasnt installed to Boot2 , is there some way i can install BootMii to Boot2 so i can continue to Restore my NAND.

How many times does the blue light flash when you start your wii? If it flashes twice very quickly it is boot2. If not, don't try to restore your nand yourself.

thanks for replying cjizzle , your tip is quite helpful...........i checked 6 Wii's just now and 2 of 6 flash twice.

Using Maulifrogs guide to mod the wii...well the bootmii only gives the option to install as an ios and said you can reinstall on boot2. l have homebrew and bootmii on the system and l dont want to go any further until someone can tell me how to uninstall bootmii as ios and reinstall as boot2? lm kind of a nooby, but pretty versed in computers, etc.

You can install it as both and that is what Maui tells you to do if the wii is capable of doing that. If IOS is the option then let it be..... If you have a boot2 v4 wii then IOS is the only way... The newer wiis can not install it as boot2 full stop....

My wii wasnt originally 4.3u...my daughter updated it to that, but the system is from 2006. l have 2 identical ones and also a 2006 red wii that has the gc2-d4...havent touched that one...wish l could mod it the same way, but l believe l can put the wii lm using on boot2...do l have to downgrade to 4.1 for it to go on boot2? The package l used to install homebrew, bootmii was set to only give the option of it being installed as ios and said l could reinstall it as boot 2 later. thats all good, but l like to screw with things and for me it would be smarter to be on boot 2, lol

Hackmii should tell you if it is able to install as boot2... When you say 2006 are you reading that on the wii's label right next to this symbol http://ahigherplace.co.uk/wp-content...ght-Symbol.jpg

No red wii's are boot2 capable. And the best way to know if your wii is boot2 capable is to run the hackmii installer. If it says its only as an IOS, then it's only as an IOS. The installer can not tell a lie.
