Just thought I would try n help, I haven't needed such a guide so I didn't know one existed but hopefully superthrust found it and his problem is resolved.

O I C, why not just install some emulators from the homebrew channel.

Hey guys there are 2 different threads going on here about the same thing.

    http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...es-anyone.html

Can we please stick to one and close the other, or perhaps player could you please merge them?

The d2x that i downloaded for supposedly v7 is still only showing v6...

This is the image i see when i first start it. Note that is says the IOS number 58, but i just found a way to make that 236 by going into MMM and loading another IOS (which is 236.)

    Spoiler

then the next screen. my only option is d2x v6...

    Spoiler

now the final screen with the grid i mentioned. I've been just selecting the one thats blinking.

    Spoiler

Now what should i try? is something wrong?

Maybe thats the v6 installer. IDK. You could just install them as wads. There is a wad pack download in the d2x guide or the cios pack from the softmod any wii guide. Just do a wad install with your favorite manager, MMM, Wad manager v1.7, etc.

It will just overwrite what you have with the recommended setup.

I will do that, but my main concern was that the guide/links had not been updated, which is why i received the V6 installer...i dunno...

anyways, i guess ill just install them as wads and do it that way.

Now on to my next issue. I cannot rip games from disc to hard drive anymore. One got to 78% then froze, and the other went to 1% then froze.

Your drive may be going into sleep mode. Check the brand's website to find out how to turn it off. Another reason could be the disc is scratched or has fingerprints on it.

How do i determine brand on the wii? Also, the disc i tried was brand new, as a trial.
