id use a nintendo power supply, 3rd party power supplies could be the problem, you may have damaged your wii with it. Was this power supply made for sensitive electronic devices? If i were you id borrow a psu from a friend, see if that would help.

How precisely did you supply 12V directly to the Wii? I'm not sure what you mean by an "eliminator".

In addition to checking the voltage, did you check to make sure the amperage was in the right ballpark? Most electronics can take a bit of variance, but if you gave it too much or too little current, you almost certainly fried some internal components.

I was in the process of running the downgrader to downgrade to 3.2. I wasnt thinking and picked the wrong region. I am in the US and chose 3.2E. I was thinking that the E stood for English.
Now my wii comes on and has sound but no picture at all.

I checked the 12 V output and the amperage, everything looks good. Now I have bought a UK power chord and my Wii still does not work. I wish there was a soft reset option. I have modded the wii with wii clip, If I send it back to nintendo would they know that I installed modchip? Is there any way to reset to factory defaults?
