New Wii Remote (Motion Plus) Disconnected in HBC Menu (& Apps)

Hi guys,

I have softmoded my Wii followed the great guide from mauifrog

Everything worked as expected with the original remotes. Later I bought two more new remotes with build-in motion plus.

The new remotes work great with the original Disc Channel. But every time I launch the HBC Menu or app like USB Loader GX, CFG, both new remotes disconnected forever. No matter what I pressed, the LED didn't even blink.

The original remotes still stay connected and work without an issue.

I am appreciated with any thought, thanks in advance.

EDIT: It's also worthy to mention that after the game is launched, the new remotes can connect again. So they are just disliked by the HBC. Very strange.. :(

Have you tryed re syncing them in the HBC and CFG ??

I just tried, in HBC menu, I tried to sync again with Red Sync button, it refused to sync, LED just kept blinking for a while and stopped.

I do notice the loader resets those remotes, but my old remotes can restore the connection soon after the reset, while the new ones stay disconnected no matter where I press.

But as soon as the game starts (launched from the USB Loader), they come back again.

The new ones are genuine Nintendo Motion Plus controls. :(

After reading more wii hack from web, the mauifrog's guide I followed installs homebrew 1.0.8 which uses ISO58 (installed from ISO58-64-v6175.wad), will that be possible my new wiimotes have compatibility issue with that ISO??????

Any help, suggestion will be much appreciated!

Maybe you should try an IOS58-64-6175.wad Instead of an iso58. never managed to find one of those.lol
I have the same situation with my 3rd party remotes. Once you start game you have to either reconnect wiimotes, press home, press 1+2 for additional wiimotes etc. or add them through the game settings.

lol, sorry! I gonna stop it on your sysCheck help post then. Really sorry.

By the way, I tried those steps you suggested, home button always work, but still it refused to work in HBC menu and its apps.

Seems to me software is a concern because the remotes work 100% in all official channels like Mii, Weather, Shopping etc.

They also back to work instantly when exit back to System Menu from any HBC apps.

In case of BT dying, what sorts of syndromes normally happen?

I have installed iso58 from IOS58-64-6175.wad according to Mauifrog's Mod ANY Wii guide. Same to you.

I guess so far no one has the same issue.

Sorry, what did you mean?

I completely reset the console registered remotes by holding Red Sync for 10+ sec.

Then fully reset the new remotes by taking the batteries out.

Then I sync them back one by one with the Red Sync method.

But still the same syndrome. I'd rather to see them don't work in anywhere at all.. lolz
