I received from my friend, his Wii Fit Plus profile is like 1000+ days lolz, so I guess it's about 2-3 years old. It was in version 3.4E before I SM it.

I did a small experiment, re-run the very first step from the Mauifrog guide:

    Spoiler

As soon as boot.dol is loaded, in MMM, the new Wiimote is dead, I could use the old one only

I am not sure how bannerbomb works, does boot.dol run under any specific original ISO?

Bannerbomb is an exploit used to run homebrew on many. wii SM's. It uses a malformed banner to crash the Wii to load an .elf or .dol.. So Id say there is no specific IOS

Okay, I got it now. So Bannerbomb makes Wii to prompt the user if want to load .dol/.elf or not. Bannerbomb itself doesn't rely on IOS makes sense.

The boot.dol from Mauifrog's package, I guess it's the MMM, it must run under a ISO right?

I also this same issue, I have a 4.1 US model that I am using with USB Loader. In the native Wii menu the new WM+ motes work fine, but in USBL they "turn off" but they are still seen by the wii as being on because if you quit to the Wii menu they keep the same order (player 1,2 3,4) I was hoping there was a fix for this, good thing I didn't toss my old broken wiimotes.

Glad to see I am not the only one :P. I have to use the old wiimotes on any HBC related stuffs. As soon as the game launched, my WM+ are back!!

I was hoping this thread had a happy ending.....I am dealing with the exact same issue.
I used a letterbomb exploit on a white 4.3U and loaded a IOS236 to use the wad manager. I've been searching the net. I'll bookmark this thread & post anything I find out....

Just tried, the WM+ LED either started blinking forever, or didn't blink at all. In either case, the WM+ wasn't unable to do anything.
