USB Loader GX .cfg file get corrupted, or something else?

What could've caused this? Here's how it went.

    1. I went to load Kirby one time, and the game black-screened on load up.

    2. I checked the game IOS setting and every other setting, all looked good.

    3. I decided to use the 'load default setting' in GX.

    4. The game still didn't start.

    5. I delete either GXGameSettings.cfg or GXGlobal.cfg file. I can't remember which one but I deleted only one of them.

    6. Game now worked fine.

Does the 'load default setting' not work properly, or was something else causing it? O_o

IIRC, "Default settings" only resets the settings under the settings menu, not the individual game's settings.
So, if you changed any individual settings for the game, they were not reset. You have to go to the games individual settings and select "Default gamesettings"

(When I say "individual game's settings," I'm talking about the settings menu you can select when you select a game. A screen pops up with a picture of the disc along with the options "Settings" and "Back".)

Also, if you're using a USB Loader GX build from the google code's BETA discussion, there is a known problem caused by the use of devkitPPC r24 that causes a random black screen when you launch a game.
Please go to the beta discussion again and download the latest build revision.

(When you update USB Loader GX, it's a good idea to delete ALL your settings files (.cfg) before updating.)

yeah I know which settings you are talking about. that's what I meant when I said I reset it (individual game) to default settings.

I'm using the wad channel one, version 2.4 or something like that.

v2.3 is the latest official release and was built using devkitPPC r21, which doesn't have the black screen issue.
