USB 2.0 SDHC Card Reader not Noticed in HBC 1.0.8

I bought a few low-quality SDHC card readers from amazon here (Amazon.com: 4 in 1 Mini USB 2.0 Memory Card Reader Writer SD MINISD MMC MOBILE RSMMC - Compatible with Sony, SanDisk, Toshiba, Lexar: Electronics) but the Homebrew Channel isn't noticing them! I usually just use the Wii's SD card reader up front, but I'm trying to install Linux and I need two cards. (Or any USB drive) So is my card reader not supported? (I pressed 1 but the USB thing is grey, like the gecko slot 1 and 2)

it pretty much comes down to "you get what you pay for" type deal there bud..and hbc might not be recognizing the SDHC, hence why all the guides say 2GB SD not SDHC.. however you stated that they work in the wii's slot with HBC?

Ummm, it's a normal 2GB SD card, no SDHC. The reader is an SDHC reader though. I'm talking 'bout the readers, not the card. The card works fine in the Wii's slot.

Cheaply made and will not work w/SD and SDmini card and not impressed w/the quality. Will not buy again nor recommend to anyone else!
there are more like that.. like I said.. it seems like one of those " you get what you pay for" deals....

OK, but it's been working fine on Ubuntu for months now.

It may not be compatible with the wii/hbc.
