USB loader issue - WBFS formatted drive is not mounting!

SO I've softmodded and installed everything I need... finally after spending countless hours trying to format my lacie 750gb drive to WBFS on my mac... I realized it could be done way faster on my buddy's PC. I formatted the drive to WBFS on the PC, and then was able to use WBFS for MacOS X to move ISOs onto the WBFS drive.

    HOWEVER...

When I connect the drive to the wii and use various usb loaders to mount it... the drive fails to mount every time. In usb loader gx, it says the disc is difficult or slow, and in configurable usb loader, it says "Device is not responding! Make sure USB port 0 is used! Try plugging the device back in...etc" and obviously I have tried all of those with no luck. Can anyone help me!? Thanks!

Did you check the USB HD compatibility guide found on this site? And the proper USB port? The FAT32 method is considered superior, btw. Start here:

I have checked the guides, and my 750gb lacie n2870 should be in the clear. Proper USB port is being used (one closest to the edge of the Wii). I also have already tried reformatting my drive to FAT32, and I have the same problem every time (drive fails to mount, says 'slow or difficult disc' or 'device is not responding'). Know that every step of the way in my own troubleshooting, no matter what I have done to the drive, I still get the same error messages. I am open to any FAT32 method, I just want to find a way that works. And I have used the guides on the site

Could it be my mistake in that my drive is actually not compatible?

If you had your Wii flat instead of standing up, it'd be the lower port it should plug into. Post a SysCheck as detailed here, please. Let's make sure the softmod is good.

Using the correct USB port. Here's the system report:

That syscheck looks like an older revision of Mauifrogs mod any wii cios but it shouldn't stop the usb mounting.
Have you tried keeping the drive off until it displays "Mount Device" then turning it on.

Also you could try fat32 for the games partition because this is possible using a mac and the app called wiibackup fusion for mac to transer your games over to the drive. Have a look at the fat32 guide in my signature...

I had a lacie going on wiiflow but it wouldn't mount on CFG or GX.

Followed the guide again... only issues that came up were that it never said "O.K." next to S.M.A.R.T. but rather "Not supported". Also, I wasn't able to verify or repair disk permissions, as those buttons were inactive. I screenshotted it for you: http://cl.ly/0h253e1S231I341Z3x36

As I formatted to FAT32 again, I loaded a game onto it via your instructions, and the drive still failed to mount. So far it has failed to mount with gx, config, and neogamma. I'll start looking for a Wiiflow link and see if my lacie drive will work with that in the meantime.

As long as it completed formatting to fat32 and its stating that the drive is fat32 then you should be ok.

I only got it to work by waiting for the insert usb device and then turning the hdd on.

Installed Wiiflow, waited to turn on the drive, and still got the "Please plug a USB HDD on port 0 or press Reset" screen. It's still not mounting...
